Health and Safety Rules
- Do not use the hot tub during pregnancy.
- Anyone having an upset tummy in the last 7 days should not use the hot tub as this can spread infection.
- If you suffer from heart disease, diabetes, low or high blood pressure, or any medical condition, please speak to you Doctor before use.
- People with skin, ear, genital or other body infections, open sores, or wounds should not use the hot tub because of the possibility of spreading infection.
- Hot tubs are not suitable for children under the age of five and older children must not be allowed to use the Hot Tub alone. Only children tall enough to stand with their feet on the floor and their head out of the water should be allowed to use the hot tub.
- Under 16’s must always be supervised. There is a major risk of drowning.
- Parents should warn children not to allow water in their mouths as this may cause illness.
- The heat of the water speeds up the effects of alcohol and can cause sleepiness, dizziness and unconsciousness.
- Never use the hot tub while using or after using narcotics/other drugs/excessive alcohol that may cause sleepiness, drowsiness or raise/lower blood pressure.
- Restrict your time in the Hot Tub to a maximum of 20 minutes.
- Shower with soap and water before and after using the hot tub. Showering before use washes away many of the common skin bacteria and removes lotions, deodorants, creams etc which reduce the effectiveness of the spa sanitiser which disinfects the water.
- Do not immerse your head in the hot tub water.
- When not in use, make sure the cover is on in order to eliminate the risks for children and pets.
- At ALL times make sure pets are a safe distance away from the hot tub.
- Never use the hot tub alone.
- Don’t use the hot tub immediately after a meal.
- Avoid entering the hot tub water immediately after exercising as the water temperature can affect the heart rate.
- Don’t use glass near or in the hot tub.
- Don’t use the Hot Tub if you have recently had a spray tan as not only will you lose your tan but you will also block the filter.
- Do not use any electrical appliances near/in the hot tub. This is a MAJOR risk.
- If any allergic reaction occurs leave the hot tub and rinse off in the shower. If the reaction persists contact your Doctor.
- Ensure no contaminants ie - bubble bath, alcohol, oils etc are placed in the water as this may upset the chemical balance of the water and can result in allergic reactions.
- Please DO NOT smoke in OR near the hot tub – this could cause damage.
Daily Operating Procedures and Chemical Record Sheet
- To ensure the water remains clean and safe for everyone to use and to avoid damage to the equipment, you are required to follow the daily Operating Procedures. This includes cleaning the filter cartridge daily, testing & recording the chemical levels daily and completing the Collection Sign Off Sheet provided.
- You will be shown how to maintain the water and keep it clean and safe for pleasant bathing.
- A new filter is provided with each new hire which must be cleaned at least in the morning and evening.
- Check the chlorine levels daily using the test strips provided and add chlorine accordingly. Allow at least 1 hour after dosage before using the hot tub.
- Do not allow chlorine to come into contact with your skin, do not ingest and do not inhale.
- Store chlorine in a cool dark place, away from children.
- If you have an allergy to chlorine please seek medical advice before using the hot tub.
Water Filling and Heating Times
- It takes about 3 hours to fill the hot tub with water, this may take longer depending on your water pressure. To speed up the heating process, we highly recommend adding hot water from your kitchen or bathroom tap - we can provide universal tap adapters to connect a water hose to indoor taps.
- Please note if only cold water is added it can take up to 48 hours to heat the water to optimum temperature. The more hot water added, the sooner the hot tub will be be ready for use.
- Heating times depends on many factors such as outside temperature and how long the massage system (bubbles) is used. With the cover on and bubbles off the water temperature increases by 1 degree every 2 - 3 hours.
- Keep the lid on when the hot tub is not used to help preserve the heat for longer periods.
- In winter months and when the outside temperature is below 10 degrees celsius, it is normal (and not a heating fault) for the heating process to take longer and the maximum water temperature may not reach the maximum set temperature of 40 degrees celsius.
Hot Tub Faults and Call Out Charges
- You will be shown how to use the hot tub and we will provide instructions to maintain the water quality.
- If the instructions are not followed and the water becomes dirty causing heating or pump failure then we will not be held responsible for the hot tub cutting out and not working correctly. If instructions have been followed and there are still issues preventing you from using the hot tub then please call us immediately on 0781 458 7335 or 07800 538 069 for telephone support. We will not be held responsible for time lost using the hot tub if we are not called immediately.
- If we are unable to resolve the issue over the phone, then a call out may be required. If the call out is not related to misuse of the equipment or instructions not being followed but related to a fault with the equipment not working, then there will be no call out charge. For all other call outs the cost is £40 + delivery charge and is subject to our availability.
Use of Gazebo
- Our gazebos are light commercial grade "pop up" gazebos and come with side panels which can be easily removed or added by the hirer.
- The gazebo is not a permanent structure and can be damaged easily in some weather conditions especially wind.
- It is the hirer’s responsibility to look after the gazebo and if required to take it down to avoid damage should the weather conditions change to make it unsuitable for the erection of the gazebo.
- The gazebo requires a minimum of 2 people to erect or take down. We will erect the gazebo on delivery but only if the weather is suitable (i.e. no or very little wind).
- Should the gazebo be damaged during the hire period, the customer will be responsible for the repair costs.
- If the gazebo is damaged beyond repair, the customer is responsible to cover the replacement cost of £150.
